Stoneware Bells

A fair trade collective called Ochre produces these lovely stoneware bells, paperweights, stationery holders and fridge magnets. I simply adore their gorgeous creations and am drawn to their simplicity and organic nature. How cool are these night Owls ! These products will be added to our online shop in the next couple of days. I can't wait to hang one of these on my Christmas tree. Oh and one little owl has already taken centre stage on my desk.....

Earthtribe and me

I've been thinking of becoming a member of the blog community for a while now so here I go....

I'm a resident of Melbourne, Australia, a country I've called home for about 13 years now. I have a cozy little family here and right now I'm looking forward to a lot of things....spring, the start to our house renovations, my family coming over for a visit and a trip to New Zealand. 

Last year I found myself at crossroads, my youngest was going to start school and I had to find myself a new role. I wanted to do something that would connect me to people, be positive and meaningful to me and those involved with me and allow me to grow gradually. I wanted it to be loosely connected with crafts and design and be fulfilling! Not much to ask for eh?

And Earthtribe was born.....

Earthtribe is a business I've recently started, it's an online shop of Fair Trade and Handmade gifts with a focus on kids. It's given me a new focus and has broadened my approach. 

The business is in it's infancy, it's trying to find it's place in the larger retail community and it's all very exciting.  I have a lot of help , many creative and thoughtful friends and a supporting family. 

The next few months will be interesting and challenging ....
